For Communication and Representation we had to create either a Dj booth, 24 hour convenance store or a place to contemplate nature. Firstly, we had to measure a certain section of Ravensburne. Me and my group was given the mezzanine level to measure to scale. This section of ravensbourne is where the RSU (Ravensbourne Student Union) is based. After this we was given a Architect to research, I got Jean Nouvel the French architect. From my research, I then had to five initial ideas which was inspired by there style of work, related to one of the three designs, and the area we was going to put it in at Ravensbourne. I picked the Mezzanine level because that was the area i measured and thought i understood how this area worked in Ravensbourne. The most suitable idea to put in the mezzanine floor i thought would be the DJ booth because it would most likely be RSU team who would run the DJ booth.

After the initial stage, I was advised to experiment a little more and push the boundaries of the idea of a "Dj Booth". So i looked at Santiago Calatrava who I think from looking at his style of work pushes the boundaries of architecture.
I decided to speak to the RSU team and and find out what they would like from the DJ booth and the told me they would like:
A new work space
A place to relax and chill out
A new way to promote themselves
I took their points of views and combined into my final design. I really wanted to concentrate on promoting the RSU team because they are quiet missable where they are based, it took me about a month to realise where they were based due to the lack of it.
